We’re pleased to share that Wiley has commenced work on a new greenfield cold storage and distribution facility in Homebush West, NSW, for Melrina Meats.
This -20°C cold store facility has been designed to support the continued growth of Melrina’s wholesale meat distribution operations—delivering increased capacity, improved logistics, and more efficient product flow across their network.
This significant expansion strengthens storage, dispatch and logistics capability within Sydney’s wholesale meat market, removing operational bottlenecks and enabling more efficient site operations.
The new facility includes:
- 3,288m² of total building area
- Large-scale freezer, chiller and multi-temperature rooms
- Three cold chain compliant dock igloos
- 392,000L fire water storage system
- New HV power supply and pad-mounted transformer
- Administration and dock office facilities
- Extensive concrete hardstand and logistics upgrades
Delivered on a greenfield site, this project reinforces Wiley’s capability in complex cold storage and protein infrastructure.
