Wiley processing engineer, Heath Barker, is currently in the USA attending the Food Automation & Manufacturing (FA&M) Conference and Expo. While abroad, he’s also doing some investigative work, researching some of the latest and greatest technologies for food processing applications. We’ll share highlights from Heath’s trip with you on our blog.
Heath’s first stop: Intralox – Savage, MD
About halfway between Washington DC and Baltimore the Savage Intralox facility designs and supplies conveyor belting for a large number of factories. Intralox supply specialised conveyor systems that can perform tasks such as: sorting, aligning, rejecting and 90 degree transfers.to improve product flow and carton handling performance.

Heath received training at Intralox on the latest possibilities in empty carton conveying. Intralox have recently installed about 15 new systems in the USA to improve the way the empty cartons are delivered to the operators.
Stay tuned to the Wiley blog for Heath’s next update!
