David joined the Wiley team in 2000 as a trainee Site Manager and Apprentice Carpenter and was mentored through the roles of Carpenter, Site Manager, Project Coordinator and Project Manager on a range of projects across many industry sectors. Having studied both a trade, and a construction degree, his experience has been built on his extensive understanding of both the micro and macro elements of managing a project. This balanced approach provides David with a unique ability to lead the overall direction of Wiley and our projects, whilst knowing when to dive into the critical finer details to resolve blocks and deliver a quality result for our clients. Never satisfied with the status-quo, David is constantly driven to find a better way in all aspects of life and project delivery. By encouraging everyone to focus on ‘why’, rather than ‘what’, he ensures the frustrations of change take a back seat to the benefits as we seek to make a difference. As a leader, David understands both the people and task side of business. A cheeky smile and a joke is never too far away. He is an integral part of who we are together as a culture and an awesome role model who we each aspire to emulate.
“I use my experience and emotional insight to help others achieve awesome results. I go to work each day, with a commitment to serve others—both clients and colleagues.” David BB
For fun, David enjoys woodwork, metalwork, mechanics and fabrication. These skills have provided the foundation to excel his hobby of 4wd off-road Motorsport. A special mention and acknowledgment to his wife Kylie and his two young boys for supporting David as an integral part of the Wiley team.
Thank you David for everything you have brought to our tribe over 20 years as a friend, colleague and most of all as a mate. Enjoy the selection of memories we dug up.
“Thank you David”
